What is RAHI?

RAHI (Rural Alaska Honors Institute) is a six-week summer program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks that prepares rural Alaskan high school students for college success. With RAHI, students live on campus, take real college courses, and build the confidence and skills they need to succeed. RAHI is offered at no cost to students or their families.

    The Rural Alaska Honors Institute (RAHI) at the ÃÛÌÒTVis honored to announce it has been awarded a grant from The Alaska Community Foundation (ACF).
  • RAHI application period opens for summer 2025

    January 13, 2025
    The Rural Alaska Honors Institute is accepting applications for its summer 2025 session.
  • Denise Wartes addresses RAHI graduates

    October 1, 2024
    The Rural Alaska Honors Institute depends on private support and partnerships, with about sixty-percent of program expenses funded by outside donors – including individuals, Alaska Native Corporations and industry partners.
  • RAHI students learn to operate pipe-cutting equipment at the Pipeline Training Center in Fairbanks as part of their Introduction to Process Technologies class.
