SDS Access Update
We are planning to implement the shift in accessing Safety Data Sheets in phases.
The contract with the current vendor (Velocity EHS - formerly known as MSDS Online)
ends in a week. By the end of the spring, we hope to have our long term replacement
in place.
In the meantime, if you have an EHS Assist account, you can locate the Safety Data
Sheets by navigating to your chemical inventory under 'Inventory' > 'Quick Chemical
Entry'. Locate the specific chemical you are looking for, double click it and scroll
down to the 'Google Search' button (see to the right instructional video)
If you do not have an EHS Assist account, you can search our current database of Safety
Data Sheets on this . All UA system users have access to this drive. If you would like to have a Safety
Data Sheet uploaded to the drive, please email the EHSRM Hazardous Waste section at uaf-hazmat-team@alaska.edu. Additionally, if you do not have an EHS Assist account, but would like one, please
email kcriley@alaska.edu. Please provide your UA id number, PI information and the building and lab you will
be working in.
This phase is merely a bridge to a more complete, user friendly system. We appreciate
your patience and as always, feel free to contact me with any questions you have.

Login to EHS Assist to update chemical inventories or submit a hazardous waste pickup request. To login to EHS Assist you must be on the campus or using the campus VPN.
