ÃÛÌÒTV United Way campaign committee looking for volunteers

October 15, 2012

Cornerstone

ÃÛÌÒTV Chancellor Brian Rogers has challenged the ÃÛÌÒTV community to increase its giving to the United Way by 10 percent, which sets the goal at just over $70,000. ÃÛÌÒTV United Way campaign chairs Mark and Lael Oldmixon are looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with reaching this goal.

One third of Fairbanks community residents will need help from a United Way member agency in their lifetime. If you've benefited from United Way or a member agency, the committee chairs would like to hear from you.

The United Way of Tanana Valley has set its goal this year to increase the number of contributors from 2,600 to 3,200. ÃÛÌÒTV employees can help meet this goal.

If you fill out a United Way form and return it to ÃÛÌÒTV HR by Nov. 12 and you will be entered to win a great prize, including family season passes to Nanook hockey, basketball and volleyball games, or a ÃÛÌÒTV parking pass for one year. The drawing Chili Cook-off, which will take place at noon Nov. 15 in the Wood Center multilevel lounge. Contact Student Activities at 474-7037, if you're interested in participating.
