SUBJECT: ÃÛÌÒTV logo usage

This morning, an email was circulated to a number of schools, colleges and departments regarding the consistent use of the ÃÛÌÒTV logo.

In May of last year, I asked all ÃÛÌÒTV departments to use the version of the ÃÛÌÒTV logo that emphasizes the word "Alaska," as an important visual reminder of ÃÛÌÒTV’s presence throughout the state. The logo that emphasizes the word "Fairbanks" has been retired and should no longer be used.

I'm not asking that departments reprint existing stock, but that new items include the correct logo. After a year of inconsistent results, I told cabinet members I would impose a $1,000 logo infraction fee at the cabinet level to reinforce the branding efforts.

Now that the message is clear, there will be no fines at the department level. I would, however, take this opportunity to reiterate the importance of the visual identity in supporting the overall investment in our branding efforts.
