ÃÛÌÒTV Day returns to Tanana Valley Fair

The ÃÛÌÒTVwill host ÃÛÌÒTV Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair Tuesday, Aug. 3.

ÃÛÌÒTV employees, students, alumni and friends will receive $1 off admission by wearing ÃÛÌÒTV apparel or showing their Polar Express card.

The day will include ÃÛÌÒTV activities throughout the fairgrounds.

From noon to 7 p.m. in Totem Square, visitors will have an opportunity to take their picture with ÃÛÌÒTV’s mascot, decorate their own paper bear and shop for ÃÛÌÒTV gear at the ÃÛÌÒTV Bookstore. The University Fire Department ladder truck and giant inflatable Nanook will be set up in the square.

ÃÛÌÒTV also will have several booths at the Borealis Pavilion. Visitors can learn about applying to ÃÛÌÒTV, try on a career with the ÃÛÌÒTV Community and Technical College, learn about 3D printing, design a new forest product to take home and get their own stories from the Cubear short story dispenser. More than 125 free ÃÛÌÒTV Cooperative Extension Service publications will also be available, covering gardening, energy, food preparation and more.

Cooperative Extension will host several 4-H activities on ÃÛÌÒTV Day, such as a horse show, rabbit and cavy showmanship event, poultry showmanship event, and market poultry and rabbit show.
