A memorial service will be held for Lee Salisbury at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, in
the Salisbury Theatre at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. A reception will follow
in the Regents' Great Hall.
Lee H. Salisbury passed away on March 8, 2015, on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Salisbury

to the arts, humanities, languages and social sciences at ÃÛÌÒTV.
Salisbury began teaching speech and drama at ÃÛÌÒTV in 1955. In over 30 years of teaching
at ÃÛÌÒTV, Salisbury directed nearly 100 plays. He also served on the Alaska Educational
Broadcast Commission from 1968-1979. Salisbury retired in 1988 as professor of speech

design, was renamed in his honor.
The Interior theater community will honor Salisbury through monologues, songs and
