Campus to host ÃÛÌÒTV Day at the fair

The ÃÛÌÒTVis sponsoring ÃÛÌÒTV Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair Tuesday, Aug. 11. ÃÛÌÒTV employees, students and alumni can bring their ÃÛÌÒTV PolarExpress card or ÃÛÌÒTV Alumni Association membership card and receive $1 off adult fair admission. Members of the public can wear ÃÛÌÒTV apparel to receive the same discount.
From 1 to 7 p.m. on ÃÛÌÒTV Day, university departments will host free interactive activities and demonstrations in two locations: Totem Square near the blue gate and the white exhibit tent near the yellow gate. Members of 4-H will also be collecting winter clothing for children birth to age 8 for distribution at the Best Beginnings Family Health Fair in September.
During the entire week of the fair, visit ÃÛÌÒTV’s main booth in the Borealis Pavilion for information, class schedules, undergraduate applications and details about the upcoming semester. Admissions counselors will be available to answer questions about registering for classes and applying to degree programs. The ÃÛÌÒTV Alumni Association will be flipping burgers at their booth near the midway, KSUA will be near the Ptarmigan Stage and 4-H can be found in barns and buildings throughout the fairgrounds.
